The company was established in 1964 by founder Jerry Brasch.

Mr. Brasch received his engineering degrees from Washington University in 1944 and 1947. He taught mathematics in the University College of Washington University from 1946 to 1966 and has received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Washington University as well as the Engineering Alumni Achievement Award and Dean’s Award from the School of Engineering. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees, the Building and Grounds Committee and as Vice Chairman for Planned Giving with the Alumni Board of Governors for the University. In the past Mr. Brasch has served as president of the St. Louis Electrical Board, the local chapter of The American Technion Society and his congregation. He is an accomplished organist and a member of the St. Louis Theatre Organ Society.
